Ruth Jones is new to Lorewood, a Massachusetts town famous for its Halloween celebrations and local witch legend. This year, however, something sinister is stalking the children of Lorewood, making them disappear—as if they never existed.
Ruth meets a mysterious boy in the woods who believes their town is cursed. He tells her that full moons on Halloween mean three kids will disappear, leaving not even a memory. Along with Ruth's best friends, they dig into the idyllic town's arcane legends and dark past.
But this curse doesn't want to be broken. The delights of Halloween will become terrors for the teens as they battle to bring the truth to light before Halloween is over.
Can Ruth stop history repeating itself? Or is she doomed to be the next victim of The Wax Witch?

Romance disclaimer from the author:
It is not lost on me that romance is the ruling genre of fiction at the moment. This is wonderful. It is a genre that brings so many people joy and can be a strong backbone for a impactful story. My all-time favorite novel is Pride & Prejudice, and I myself love reading a good bodice ripper from time to time.
That being said, I am not a romance writer. If you are looking for novels with gorgeous people, dangerous jealousy, games of the heart and...um, carnal pursuits, then I am afraid you will be out of luck with me.
I will gladly give you stomach-churning gore, bullet-biting violence and foul-mouthed tirades, but I just can't handle smut. I think this is because in truth, I am just two kids in a trench coat and nowhere mature enough to write steamy scenes. I just wanted to be upfront with my readers.
P.S A huge shoutout to all the authors who can write romance and do it so well. I am genuinely impressed and kinda jealous.
